Mercia is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in Sustainability, Corporate Social Investment, Community Development and Communication. She has  spent much of her corporate career leading and building winning teams that drove impact driven actions, programmes and projects. Before co-founding Nyamukara Empowerment NPC, she  undertook various management and executive leadership roles responsible for Corporate Social Investment, Sustainability and Employee Volunteerism. She is a social worker by profession and holds a honours degree in social work and several other qualifications in Human Resources, Communication, Community Relations, Public Relation & Writing and Leadership Development. She has served as a trustee for The Maths Centre and Abraham Kriel Childcare.
